Are you ready for an unforgettable July filled with good food, good music, and good vibes? July is here, and it's time to mark your calendars for some fun-filled experiences throughout Lake Oswego and West Linn.

From parades and concerts to delicious food, drinks and more, there's something fun for everyone in Willamette. Let's dive into the exciting local events that July has in store!

1. Star Spangled Parade & Celebration: July 4th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Millennium Plaza Park

    Get ready to don your patriotic colors and join the annual Star Spangled Parade in Lake Oswego. Gather your friends and neighbors as festive floats, vibrant vehicles, and even costumed canines make their way down A Avenue to Millennium Plaza Park via Second Street. Watch out for Lake Oswego's very own Fire engine, an authentic Fife & Drum Band, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, classic cars, and much more!

    The celebration doesn’t stop there, head down to Millennium Plaza Park and enjoy live music, face painting, balloon animals, and even a pie eating contest. Plus, if all these activities work up a hunger, don't miss out on the delightful cuisine served by local food crafters.

    2. West Linn Old Time Fair: July 7-9 at Willamette Park

      Looking for a dose of nostalgia and community spirit this summer? Look no further than West Linn's annual Old Time Fair! Held in Willamette Park, this signature event has been captivating hearts for years. From July 7th through July 9th, immerse yourself in a weekend of family-fun experiences, attracting over 13,000 people from near and far.

      Come join us and be a part of the West Linn Ambassador Coronation, crowning of the 2023 Royalty, enjoy carnival Rides by Rainer Amusements, watch the Car Show, Recycle Regatta, Antique & Classic Boat Show, exhibitor & food vendor booths, local organization performers, a beer garden, the PJ’s to Pancake Run & Walk, and much more!

      On Saturday, July 8th, don't miss the Old Time Fair Parade! Experience the joy and nostalgia as the parade marches through the heart of West Linn. From captivating entertainment to mouthwatering treats, unforgettable experiences with loved ones and much more, this event has it all. We hope to see you there!

      3. Wednesday Summer Concerts: Weekly on Wednesdays during the summer, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Foothills Park

        Come enjoy warm summer weekday nights and kick back at the Wednesday Summer Concert series in Lake Oswego. Bring your blankets and low sand chairs to Foothills Park and get ready to dance and sing the night away to the energetic performances by your favorite local dance bands.

        With outside food and beverage permitted (yes – including beer, wine, and seltzer), you can enjoy a picnic-style evening with loved ones. But if you're feeling hungry and didn’t bring anything with you, don't worry—food vendors will be onsite to satisfy your cravings!

        4. Music in the Park: July 27, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Tanner Creek Park

          Escape the daily routine this summer and take it easy enjoying the ambiance of Music in the Park. Taking place at Tanner Creek Park in West Linn, this free, family-friendly concert series is a great opportunity to kick off your shoes and let loose to the sounds of talented musicians. Grab a blanket, bring your loved ones, and enjoy an evening of melodic bliss.

          These events are all organized by the City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation and the City of West Linn Parks & Recreation, respectively. They've put together an awesome summer lineup sure to entertain parents and kids of all ages, with more to come in August, too!
